Timeline of Sound and Music

26th- 29th November 2018.
I watched various P.I.F videos and chose two that I am going to make sound and music to. I chose to do Hedgehog Road Safety Campaign P.I.F and THINK! Road safety: Tales of the road campaign. I also gathered a lot of information on the history of various P.I.Fs and I searched how music and sound helps convey the message in the P.I.Fs. I had ideas in my head of what I could do so I did spider diagram to show my ideas and plans for the videos.

3rd- 6th December 2018.
I started with one of the THINK! Road Safety: Tales of the road P.I.F which was the boy who didn't stop, look and listen. For this I wanted to make the music sad as he has a flashback to the horrible accident. So i watched the video over and over to get a feeling of the message that is trying to be conveyed with this P.I.F, I also was trying to see if my music and sound would go with the video at the time.

10th- 13th December 2018.
I got working on the beat for my first P.I.F which I made on soundtrap and it sounded really good at the time when i put it on the video especially with  the original voice over and effects of the outside. It made the video sound alright since it was what I wanted and had planned.

17th- 20th December 2018.
We were asked to start working on songs for a performance, that was going to be a Christmas performance but since no one was ready we pushed until February 6th 2019.
I worked on my timing for my first P.I.F and I started to focus on the Hedgehog P.I.F.

24th December 2018- 7th January 2019.
Christmas Holiday. I worked on getting my research on various P.I.Fs finished so when I went back to college I could focus on getting my P.I.Fs finished and practicing the songs for the performance.

7th- 17th January 2019.
We worked on the songs for the performance since we didn't have a lot of time before the holiday to practice as a group. Personal I worked on my second P.I.F video to get it finished and upload on to my blog. I started by making the music that I had in my head.

21st- 24th January 2019.
I watched the P.I.F video I had made but I couldn't get the feeling of the message, so I decided to change the music and sound along with the voice over since I think it would be better do it all myself. I am going to keep the sad feeling but make it dark. For the voice over I asked my older sister to do it because she has a good reading voice and I don't want some boring reading voice that makes the viewers go to sleep while watching it.

28th- 31st January 2019.
Rehearsals for performance. I worked at home on my P.I.F videos. I started to plan for my second video and i think this P.I.F should have bright, lively, bubbly and jazzy music  to attract young children's attentions, so I made another spider diagram for this video.

4th - 7th February 2019.
Monday 4th we did a sound check for the performance. Tuesday 5th I worked on my blog to make sure all my research was finished and that i had research as much as I could without repeating anything. Wednesday 6th we had our performance. Thursday 7th I carried out my plans for my second P.I.F video by making the beat first then recording the voice over.
